Online Public Involvement: Intersection Improvements on US-231

Project Overview

Location: Troy (Pike County)

ALDOT is proposing to improve traffic flow and address safety concerns near the intersection of AL-10 (US-231) and George Wallace Drive/Trojan Parkway in the City of Troy, Pike County. The proposed project will add right-turn lanes on South George Wallace Drive and Trojan Parkway, modify existing driveways, and replace the existing traffic signals. Additionally, access to South George Wallace Drive from Troy Plaza Loop and Corman Avenue will be modified to right-in/right-out. Lane closures will be utilized during construction, so no detour will be needed. Additional right-of-way will be needed to implement this project.

The purpose of this public involvement meeting is to inform the public of the design features for the project. ALDOT is interested in obtaining input from the people who use this route.
