Online and In-person Public Involvement: US-11 Improvements

Project Overview

Location: Springville (St. Clair County)

ALDOT, in cooperation with the City of Springville, is proposing improvements along AL-7 (US-11) to address concerns regarding flooding, edge of pavement drop-offs, pedestrian safety, and congestion. The proposed project will install a concrete culvert in the existing open ditch along the east side of US-11, widen the roadway to accommodate a center turn lane, and replace the existing sidewalk, as necessary, throughout the project limits. The roadway will remain accessible during construction, however intermittent lane closures will be necessary. Additional right-of-way will be needed for the project.

The purpose of this public involvement meeting is to inform the public of the design features for the project. ALDOT is interested in obtaining input from the people who use this route.
