Online Public Involvement: Access Management along AL-12 (US-84)

Project Overview

Location: Dothan (Houston County)


The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) is proposing to improve traffic flow and address safety concerns along AL-12 (US-84) near its intersection with AL-605 in Dothan, Houston County, Alabama. The proposed work includes the addition of u-turn lanes, as well as modifying existing turn lanes and access points. Lane closures will be necessary during construction.

The purpose of this public involvement meeting is to inform the public of the design features for the project. ALDOT is interested in obtaining input from the people who use this route.

All comments regarding this project must be submitted on or before Friday, September 26, 2025.
