Project Overview

Location: New Brockton (Coffee County)

The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) is proposing to improve traffic flow and address safety concerns by modifying AL-12 (US-84) at three (3) locations in New Brockton, Coffee County, Alabama. The proposed project will install reduced conflict intersections (RCI) at the intersections of US-84 and CR-514, CR-516, and CR-533 (Tyler Street). Lane closures will be necessary during construction. Information about RCIs can be found in the Downloads section below.

The purpose of this public involvement meeting is to inform the public of the design features for the project. ALDOT is interested in obtaining input from the people who use this route.

All comments regarding this project must be submitted on or before Friday, February 6, 2026. Friday, February 20, 2026.
